RLC, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support our 145 Operations in Broussard, LA. The position is 5/2, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to field locations. Incumbent supports the field inspection of aircraft and maintenance procedures to ensure conformance with the Code of Federal Regulations and RLC's General Maintenance Manual.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or possession of a G.E.D., A&P Certificate, with a minimum of (6) years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic.
Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and able to use word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Valid Driver’s License. Possession of a valid mechanic's license with airframe and power plant ratings issued by the FAA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Inspect the work performed by aircraft mechanics and aviation line personnel (CCI & RII) in order to ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Department of Public Safety (DPS) procedures.
- Inspect maintenance work on aircraft in order to approve the aircraft's return to service.
- Perform CASS Audits as directed by RLC’s CASS Program.
- Troubleshoot aircraft difficulties with pilots and mechanics in order to accurately diagnose and repair problems.
- Ensure the mechanic tool control program is maintained as per RLC’s GMM.
- Maintain currency of local aircraft technical library and ensures dissemination of information to aviation personnel.
- Inspect aircraft calibrated tools, equipment, and facilities to ensure serviceability, accurate calibrations and safe conditions.
- Perform review of logbook entries and inspection forms for accuracy and content.
- Track fleet bulletin compliance
- Maintain aircraft bulletins
- Review work orders and make logbook entries
- Create Form 8130
- Perform serial number and equipment list checks
- Submit SOAP and NDT samples
- Document and compile damage for DER Repairs
- Weigh aircraft and update equipment lists
- Create Form 337
- Implement special equipment operating protocols or procedures to meet specific RLC operational requirements
- Execute regular inspection activities to meet schedule requirements and minimize down time for RLC aircraft
- Review Master Publications list
